It’s always busy on the Parkway on weekends, but especially so on August Sundays. But we wanted to get back to training for our trip, so we rode out anyway. Between the summer’s end, last-gasp-before-school-starts, traffic, I was struck by how fall-like things are looking already. So I took some pix. But another thing that simply “says” August to me, is the sound of cicadas. Yep, amongst the gnats’ buzz in my ears, I heard the rasp of cicadas in the woods.
Autumn is just around the corner.

I saw some goldenrod in bloom…Summers end.
Yup, almost done. I tried to caption the pix, but they somehow were lost.
